I wanted to update everyone on the latest details with the delayed server merge.
The merge is STILL happening
It turns out that there were a few issues with the way the merge process has been handled from our end that I wanted to take a look at before pulling the trigger. The ultimate goal is to make sure that the players that are being affected by the merge have the best user experience as possible. So when it comes to similar names and player email there were a few hiccups that I wanted to have addressed that were more important than “hitting the date” of the merge.
I am planning on having a new timeline this week to review. I am sure that everything will be addressed and I will be able to share it with everyone.
Until then… have fun and watch for an update later this week.
Why does this effect the poll?

Hello,
We are preparing a guild for this new server. We managed to steal a good amount of players back from other games such as wow and warhammer. However, we were first told of a poll at the end of January and the server release in March. Unfortunetly people are slowing losing faith and it looks like people will begin migrating back to other games. Please reinforce some of the excitement that you guys gave us with a poll or some more firm details. I know there is a ton of interest from all over about this server, let’s let put it on the backburner and ruin what could otherwise be a great population outcome for this new server and Everquest.
Best Regards,
Numinous & co.

Wonderful.
But what would really be nice to know is status on the server poll (which really shouldn’t be affected by this whatsoever) and if the new server will be ready to roll out on time?

When are we going to hear more about the new server? Its several days past the end of January when it was stated a poll would be available.

So you are saying the reason this is held up was you found a problem with character names? if so what has changed to create this problem since the initial mergers and the merge of the two progression servers?

I sure wish this attitude of ‘get it right’ instead of ‘hit the target date’ was applied to the expansions as well!
