Currently, the 51/50 server is the front runner. It will be interesting to see which one wins!
51/50 is the worse idea ever, you can level from 1-65 with 200 aa in about 5 days.
i could understand if you guys set something different like exp gain or something, but i doubt you will, and from looks of it, you are going to lose more subs then you will gain, since about 100-200 people reactivated eq just for the progression server vote.
but i gotta call you guys out on it, i highly doubt that many people voted for 51/50.

Reading the forums the most vocal of us want a progression server or an eq classic server.
Every one with an active eq account had the option to vote for anew server but will these people play the 51/50 rule set for the next 2 or 3 years or just make an alt or 2 on it.
A lot of people have reactivated old eq accounts to play a progression server or classic eq.
make 2 new servers one for the 51/50 crowd and one a progression or classic eq server ,doing these will bring a lot of old players back and make both groups of people happy.

I think the 51/50 server is a great idea the reason why is alot of older chars on old servers took advantage of older bugs to get where they are today where as a fresh server starts with eveyone on equal ground as far as the game goes. i could go and name at least 5 bugs that have been fixed since the last blue server went into effect just with aa exploits.

Why would anyone choose 51/50 over progression?
Sounds like a marketing strat to get all the people to reactive their accounts early just to cast a vote.
Progression MUST win! Few dozens guilds out there already formed for “the new progression” server.

If it is the case that the 51/50 server wins, then a smaller number of people will activate old accounts to play on it. It is in the best interest of the company and the players of the game that as many people activate old accounts as possible. Therefore, this ruleset winning is not in the best interest of the players or the company.

Well i for one will not vote because you left out the “None of the above” option.In my opinion ,there is no reason to start another type of server, instead maybe work on making what already exists better. There are plenty of ways to do this, one would be to bring Epic Weapons up to date ,after all it is an Epic weapon .I would think that it should be one of if not the best weapon of the game. i think there are so many other ways to improve the game and attract new people and older players(ones that use to play but dont) to the game without adding a new server, at least till the numbers start going back up.
Please do not take this as a bash session, its not that at all , i still think this game is great and you guys have done a great job creating new content and i hope to see more great things from you guys , i also hope that you will open your minds and listen to the players as to what might be good and what might not be good.

51/50 in the lead? Eh well, looks like my 5 accounts will stay cancelled and I’ll keep playing wow and fps games. The funnest part of EQ is the old days, and if it’s not a progressive original it really isn’t fun. Which this is just my opinion, I mean the community voted for this. I think this game has only gone downhill since the release of DoDH. Classic- PoP really was the best overall experience I have ever had playing, instanced zones takes the fun out of racing for targets etc…

It is unfortunate that I cannot cast a vote without a current subscription. This pole will only generate an answer for how many people would leave their current server, for the new one of whatever type. It will not acurately show how many of us that stopped playing, but are interested in returning for the new server if it is of said type, would choose.
